The goal of each monthly workshop is to provide the fundamentals of Home Care Management for compliance with local and state regulations and standards.

Each Certificate Workshop offers a four part curriculum, with interactive discussions, presentations and case studies. Each participant receives a comprehensive manual and lunch. The curriculum includes:

Workshop Objectives

You will learn the skills necessary to show a clear understanding and appropriate application of Licensure Standards. After this course, you will be able to:
-Describe two (2) ways to recognize revenue and their respective effect on financial statements
-Illustrate Pro Formas: Assumptions in best case, worst case and most likely
-Identify five (5) concepts of matching revenue with cost activities
-Identify when a Medicare or Medicaid visit is billable
-Name OIG-identified Risk Areas in home health
-Understand Home care ownership disclosure regulations

Continuing Education Units

Each attendee receives up to four (4) Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) and a Certificate of Attendance at the successful completion of the workshop, course evaluation and competency exam.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Agency Administrators, Managers and Alternates who need to demonstrate understanding and compliance with Financial Management objectives of running a skilled or non-medical agency.

»Utilize at least five concepts of written notice of consumer rights in the home care setting
»Demonstrate care coordination techniques
»Identify 3 responsibilities of the Governing Board, Administrator/Manager & PAC.
»List ongoing training program components for PCWs, CNAs, Administrators, Managers & Alternates
»Identify at least 4 needs of a compliant Quality Management Program.

Topic selection is made from the breakdown by 8-hour module or from the list of individual topics on the Registration form.

This Certificate Workshop offers a four part curriculum, with interactive discussions, presentations and case studies. Each participant receives a comprehensive manual and lunch. The curriculum includes:

PROGRAM – 4 CEUs
Approach:  How do I begin to investigate, when I'm not sure? What if there is no evidence?  If it's a family member then my agency can't do anything, right? They just yell a lot. This class will assist in clearing up the gray areas as well as following through on the investigative process.

Workshop Objectives

You will learn the skills necessary to show a clear understanding and appropriate application in use of the Psychosocial Assessment with your clients. After this course, you will be able to:

„Ï Analyze how the abuser cultivates the environment to enhance the abuse cycle.
„Ï Describe how caregiver stress can create potential for abuse.
„Ï Identify triggers for abuse.
„Ï Articulate how the consumer is impacted by verbal, physical, mental and sexual abuse.

Continuing Education Units

Each attendee receives a Certificate of Attendance for up to four (4) clock hours of education at the completion of the workshop, course evaluation and competency exam.
